As you all can see, we are having serious performance problems on the site tonight. We do not know why we are having these problems and the strange thing is that it started before there were many people online and at the time no matches were running. We are doing our best to solve this but since we do not know the caus...e we can not say when it will be fixed. We are of course really sorry about this!

No more matches will be played today or tomorrow.
Most of the matches played tonight will be replayed.
We haven't decided how we should handle, for example, the matches that started 17:30 UTC.
More information tomorrow.

We just want to give you a short status update on what we are currently doing to solve the problems we have been experienced lately on the site during match days. We are working on several tasks simultaneously in order to have as much of it as possible solved by Wednesday's matches:

1. We are building a simplified site version (what we call Footballidentity LiteSite) which will only contain links to current match, training and create character pages. What this will do is that it will give us the opportunity to turn off the normal site and instead turn on the LiteSite in case the site becomes as slow as it was yesterday and on Wednesday last week. Of course this will make surfing the site much more limited but at least it will instead highly increase the chances of users reaching the matches in time since the amount of server load will decrease a lot. We are still looking for the thing that causes these problems so in order to get good tests we will still use the normal site as much as possible and only turn on the LiteSite in case of an emergency. We hope to have finalized this LiteSite in time for Wednesday's matches but we are building it in steps so maybe it will not contain all features but as long as the match link exists and is working we should be able to use it.

2. Simultaneously we are making heavy investigations and improvements related to db and other technical areas of our environment. The servers that we are running on should not have these kind of problems that we are experiencing with this amount of concurrent users and we need to find the bug that is causing this. I hope you understand that therefore it is very important to find these bugs and that the "live tests" that occurs on match days is a very important part in finding these bugs. We just hope that you have the patience to stay with us on our quest to find it.

Thanks to the LiteSite mentioned above we believe that there is very little risk that users should not be able to access matches. Therefore we will be replaying all the matches that were not possible to play yesterday (matches starting in the interval between 18.45 and 20.45 UTC). These matches will be played on Sunday. Therefore we will also move matches for the USA league so that they will not have to play matches tomorrow Tuesday (instead they will play Wednesday and Sunday as well).

After having worked really hard trying to improve the site performance building also an emergency site called (the Footballidentity LiteSite) we believed we were really back on track today since we now had the option of letting our users play the matches. However, instead we seem to have been thrown straight into a new problem Sad Today the Match Engine servers are completely freaking out and we have at the moment no idea what is the problem. The only thing we know is that it is not connected to our work with the main site itself.

We have no other option but to cancel all matches until we have identified and solved the problem. Be prepared that you will see a lot of test matches running during the next days but these are only for our testing purposes and can be closed down at any time.
